Gift Giving Workshop Bag

One of the projects we did at this weeks workshop incorporated stamping and the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge -- man I love this more and more.  We filled this guy with peppermint pillows when it was completed.
I'm showing you both even though they are almost identical.  Can you spot the difference?  Yup, one is outlined with stitch marks and the other isn't.  The matted saying was first stamped and then run through the Xyron upside down.  I wanted to get the image tacky to put the glitter on.  Why not use glue?  The liquid glue would have made the images run since they're water based.  A tape runner would have been too timely and could have been inconsistent.  No, the Xyron was a great choice.

The Cricut setting I used was the bag at 6", which is the largest bag you can make with the 12"x12" mat.  The large snowflakes were stamped with first and second generation stamping and Spring Iris Ink.  The small snowflakes were stamped with Grey Flannel.  And the Happy Holidays was stamped in Outdoor Denim to match the mat.  Because of the glitter, you could stamp it in black to make it look a little less green.

That's it!
