I really like the white on white motif of the August 2015 Stamp of the Month shown here. So much, I wanted to create a similar look.
Inspirational card!
I had also just gotten my new Artistry Cricut Collection and NEEDED to try that out. The resulting card is here to the right.
There are three layers to this card. A Fern layer (replaced Olive and are the leaves), a Canary layer (the flowers) and the White Daisy Layer. I stamped "THANKS" in Slate.
I created this card within Cricut Design Space (software for Explore and Air). You can replicate the look in Cricut Craft Room. Use this simple technique to create this card:
For either platform, decide on the size of flower bunch you want. Copy and paste the image twice. The first copy you are going to leave alone - that's the White Daisy layer. To the second copy, you are going to right click on the image and choose "hide contour". Now your image should be purple and you can see the cut lines within the image. Go ahead and carefully click on the lines for the flowers. If you click on any other line, just click it again and it will come back. Next, click away from the image. You should now have an image that has the leaves lines and the outer lines. That's the Canary layer. Finally, with the third copy, you are going to repeat what you did for the Canary layer, except click on all the leaves and flower lines. As you see from my card, I left the between cuts alone (between flowers/leaves - where air would be).
To assemble, add adhesive to the White Daisy back (so you don't add glue to what will show) and glue the Canary layer on. Now add glue to the backside of the Canary paper and put the Fern paper on. All three layers match up because of the first step of copying the correct sized image. Next, stamp the saying in the bottom right corner. And, finally, glue the flower bunch to the card, trimming the excess pieces off.
