It's easy to get caught up in the day to day activities of life. I'd like to take a moment to preflect (thinking ahead of time instead of reflecting) this Monday's Memorial Day.
So many men and women, gave everything for us. There are so many unsung heroes over the years and years of conflict (and even in peaceful times). It's mind boggling that since 1774 (before we won independence) men and women have been defending our great nation. Behind those who have given the ultimate sacrifice are their mothers, fathers, spouses, brothers and sisters. They too sacrificed much of themselves. Because if you think about how the people around you have affected your life... just imagine losing a family member. So, thank you, too to the families of the fallen.
Thank you for keeping our country safe and free. This family appreciates it tremendously, and will light a candle on Monday for those who have passed keeping us free.
